One seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash in San Diego

As any California resident can attest, traffic can get heavy on the major roads and interstates. While many motorists are acclimated to the daily rush hour traffic, this does not mean they are safeguarded from negligent drivers. Even so, it does not matter if the roads are busy or not, a distracted, reckless or distracted driver could cause an accident involving one or even multiple vehicles.

Such negligence could have contributed to an accident that recently occurred in San Diego. According to reports, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 52 near University City. The collision happened just before noon in the westbound lanes and involved two cars and a pickup truck.

The collision resulted in one of the cars landing on their roof. One victim involved in the crash reportedly suffered a serious head injury. Another victim suffered a shoulder injury; however, only one person was transported to the hospital from the accident site.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is still ongoing. California Highway Patrol has no released any information regarding possible cause or contributing factors. During this time, authorities will consider factors such as distractions, drugs, alcohol, speed and other similar factors. If a negligent driver is to blame it might be possible to take legal action.

A personal injury action can help a car accident victim hold a negligent driver accountable. In addition to apply liability, this civil action could help the victim seek compensation for losses such as medical bills, pain and suffering, rehabilitation, lost wages and other related damages.
