Driver causes pedestrian accident injuries in California

Police are currently on the hunt for a driver who was behind the wheel when he or she caused considerable injuries to a woman who was walking in a neighborhood at night. The pedestrian accident injuries suffered by the victim were reported to be critical in nature. Police are seeking help from anyone who may have seen the accident in California or know anything about the incident.

The accident happened just before 1 a.m. on a Friday morning as a woman was walking down the street. The woman who was hit was 30 years old. The car that struck her has been described as an older-model, black Lincoln Town Car. It was headed east when it struck the woman.

The Lincoln Town Car fled the scene after hitting the woman. The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries, and she was reported to be in critical condition. There was no description of the driver who was behind the wheel, and police are actively seeking that driver.

Once that driver is identified, an investigation may provide insight at to what happened and if that driver bears any liability for the pedestrian accident injuries suffered. If there is liability established, the victim in this accident may have cause to file a personal injury suit in a California civil court. If successful, this civil legal action can result in the awarding of monetary damages, which can help pedestrian accident victim deal with overwhelming medical expenses, lost wages and other negative financial ramifications from an accident such as this.
