Pedestrian accident takes life of grandmother in California

A tragic accident involving two vehicles took the life of a grandmother over the weekend. The pedestrian accident occurred on Saturday afternoon as two cars collided, which caused one to hit a group of pedestrians. The California grandmother who died in the accident was with three of her grandchildren, all of whom sustained injuries in the incident.

The accident began as a 56-year-old driver was driving west and hit a coupe that was going in the same direction. Both of the cars lost control and hit a few parked vehicles. The sedan driven by the 56-year-old driver hit a number of pedestrians. It was also reported the sedan hit an iron fence and also hit into an apartment building during the course of the accident.

The 63-year-old grandmother who was hit died at a hospital due to the severity of her injuries. The three children injured were ages 7, 8, and 13. The drivers of both cars also suffered injuries in the crash. There is an investigation into this tragic crash, and authorities are seeking anyone with additional information.

The loss of a life in this pedestrian accident has likely created a deal of emotional turmoil for the family left behind. However, it may also cause financial turmoil as the family deals with this loss. The family left behind may be able to take civil action in a California civil court by pursuing a wrongful death suit. If a wrongful death suit pertaining to a pedestrian accident is successful, the family left behind may recoup the costs of medical bills, funeral expenses and other losses related to the pedestrian accident.
