Speed around a curve may have caused fatal car accident

| Feb 23, 2016 | Wrongful Death |

When a driver took a curve too fast and lost control, a man in another vehicle lost his life. The fatal car accident happened on a California highway. Two passengers in the car that was struck did not escape unscathed either.

The accident happened on a recent Saturday afternoon. A truck was going around a curve that was part of an off ramp. The driver of that truck lost control and went into the on ramp of opposing traffic. Then, the truck hit a Honda, which was occupied by two adults and two kids.

The male in the Honda died as a result of the crash. Two of his passengers had what were reported to be major injuries. The driver of the truck did not suffer any serious injuries in the accident even though his truck then flipped and landed on heavy equipment that was at a nearby business.

This fatal car accident currently remains under investigation by California authorities. In addition to the emotional turmoil such a loss undoubtedly caused, the family of the man who lost his life may have to deal with the financial strain of funeral costs, lost wages and other losses that may occur due to the death of their loved one. Once the family decides to take action to help alleviate any undue financial burden the fatal car accident may have caused, they may want to inquire as to whether or not a wrongful death suit filed in a California civil court would be in the family’s best interest.
