California hit and run motorcycle accident leaves biker injured

A motorcyclists recently suffered serious injuries to his legs after a hit and run accident in Temecula. A report by The Press Enterprise notes a woman was arrested shortly after the crash on suspicion of a felony hit and run. According to the article, the driver struck the motorcycle while making a turn in an intersection. The vehicle stopped briefly after the crash before leaving the scene.

The crash reportedly occurred shortly after 2 in the afternoon at the intersection of Winchester Road and Murrieta Hot Springs Road. Witnesses state the biker had stopped at a set of flashing lights before proceeding into the intersection and had the right of way. While the motorcycle was in the intersection, the vehicle entered and made a turn striking the right side of the motorcycle and seriously injuring the rider. 


Although the exact cause of this accident remains under investigation, one of the more common causes of motorcycle crashes is a lack of visibility.
