Car accident in California results in fatalities

| Jan 30, 2013 | Car Accidents |

Motor vehicle collisions can be a very serious matter. Sometimes, such accidents even result in fatalities. This is one of the many reasons why it is very important for motorists to practice safe and responsible driving when out on the roads.

A car accident happened earlier this week in California which resulted in two people dying.

The crash occurred near Morongo Valley on Monday. That afternoon, a 54-year-old woman from Morongo Valley was driving a car east along Highway 62. According to authorities, a westbound car that was being driven by a 50-year-old man from Anaheim then crossed onto the road’s eastbound side. A head-on collision then occurred between the 50-year-old man’s car and the 54-year-old woman’s car.

The Press-Enterprise article which reported this story did not mention if it is yet known what specifically caused the 50-year-old man’s car to go onto the road’s eastbound side.

Both the 50-year-old man and the 54-year-old woman were killed in this motor vehicle accident.

As this tragic crash illustrates, car accidents can sometimes have fatal results.

Thus, it is very important for motorists to take all reasonable steps to prevent auto accidents when out on the roads. This includes doing everything one reasonably can to remain in control of one’s vehicle and avoid interfering with opposing lanes of traffic when driving. It also includes obeying all relevant traffic laws and avoiding engaging in reckless conduct when behind the wheel.

One hopes that all motor vehicle drivers in California do what they can to help keep the state’s roads safe.
