Late last month, Lindsay Lohan again made headlines a California woman filed a personal injury lawsuit against the actress. In the suit, the plaintiff alleged that she had been hit by Lohan’s car while she walked through an intersection. The auto accident suit was the second of its kind to be filed against Lohan last month. In sum, Lohan has defended against four personal injury lawsuits in the past few years, as well as multiple criminal charges for driving under the influence.
In the most recent suit, the plaintiff alleges that she was walking through an intersection in West Hollywood, California in September 2010 when she was struck by a Maserati that was driven by Lohan. As a result, she claims, she suffered “disabling and serious personal injuries, pain, suffering and anguish.” She is reportedly seeking damages for medical expenses related to her injuries as well as for lost wages.
Earlier in January, a paparazzo filed a similar personal injury suit against Lohan in which he claimed that he was struck by the actress’ car while attempting to shoot photos of her. That accident reportedly occurred in January 2010.
Lohan has already faced two civil suits stemming from an incident in which she chased a vehicle she believed to be carrying a former assistant on the Pacific Coast Highway. One of the claims was filed jointly by three men who were in the vehicle driven by an intoxicated Lohan. She was also arrested and charged with drunk driving, her first of two similar arrests, following that incident.
