Another wrongful death lawsuit has been filed in the death of Michael Jackson, who was preparing for a limited-engagement comeback “tour” in England when he passed away following a prescription drug overdose. This lawsuit, filed by Jackson’s mother on behalf of Michael’s children, accuses concert promoter AEG of causing the pop star’s death by both their “action and inaction.”

According to The Wrap, no specific damages were mentioned in the lawsuit, which also accuses the promotion company of causing “distinct emotional stress” to Michael’s son Prince, who was present when his father passed away.

Ms. Jackson’s lawsuit also claims that any blame being laid at Dr. Conrad Murray’s feet should be redirected to AEG, who hired him and required that Michael adhere to his treatment plan.

Murray is currently the defendant in a lawsuit filed by Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, who accuses the doctor of negligence in prescribing Michael medication and lax supervision of his patient. Murray was also charged with involuntary manslaughter in 2009, but that trial will probably not start until early next year.

To further complicate the web of lawsuits and accusations, Michael’s mother filed for divorce from Joe Jackson in August and those proceedings are also going on behind the scenes. There was no recorded comment from Joe Jackson on his estranged wife’s lawsuit.
