Normally, these benefits provide around two-thirds of your average weekly pay. If your doctor verifies that you can't work, you'll receive temporary disability payments within a few weeks of your injury.

In the case that you can't return to work, you can apply for permanent disability. In some cases, you can recover enough to work in a different part of your job by going through vocational rehabilitation. This provides the skills you need to work in a more appropriate field for your medical condition.
