Another tour bus crashes on the way to a California casino

Two tour buses have crashed on their way to casinos in Southern California within the past 10 days. The most recent bus accident took place Sunday night when a tour bus that was headed to Casino Puma in San Diego County drove off the road.

Ten people were injured in the bus accident, which has been attributed to brake failure by the bus driver, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A total of 18 people were on the bus just when the driver was unable to stop the vehicle as it crashed into a guard rail, boulders and trees.

Fortunately, no one suffered serious injuries in the accident.

In an earlier incident, a bus driver en route to San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino sideswiped a car while making a lane change, causing it to overturn. More than 50 people were injured in that crash.

It has been reported that the driver of that bus did not have a proper driver's license.

Bus accidents have the potential to result in serious and catastrophic injuries, and because of this commercial bus companies are required to abide by a number of safety regulations. When buses are not properly maintained - as has been suggested in this more recent crash - or when bus drivers are not properly licensed, the safety of everyone on board and everyone on the roads is at risk. When bus drivers or bus companies disregard regulations or the rules of the road, they may be held liable for any accidents and injuries that result.
